Our guide to stand-up, improv and variety shows happening this weekend and in the week ahead. Plus, a Times Talks event.

KYLE DUNNIGAN at Union Hall (Feb. 19, 8 and 10 p.m.). This writer and comedian won an Emmy for the song “Girl, You Don’t Need Make Up,” featured on Comedy Central’s “Inside Amy Schumer.” Dunnigan also made recurring appearances on the series “Reno 911!” and voiced several celebrity impersonations for “The Howard Stern Show.” The early show at this club in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is already sold out, but tickets remain for the late show. 718-638-4400, unionhallny.com

‘IMPROVISED 30 ROCK’ at the Peoples Improv Theater (Feb. 15, 7 p.m.). Each month at the PIT, a cast of nine superfans of the NBC sitcom “30 Rock” will get into character and improvise their own episodes, with Sophie Hirsh as Liz Lemon, Cynia Barnwell as Tracy and E. A. Moss as Jack. This month, they will play off the theme of Anna Howard Shaw Day, the suffragette’s holiday that Lemon celebrates in lieu of St. Valentine’s Day.212-563-7488, thepit-nyc.com

‘JAVANKA: BACK IN NEW YORK’ at Feinstein’s/54 Below (Feb. 15, 9:30 p.m.). Sarah Naughton and Jake Weinstein star in this musical cabaret as Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, finally sharing their side of the story through show tunes from musicals such as “A Chorus Line,” “Company” and “Fiddler on the Roof.”646-476-3551, 54below.com

‘RUNNING LATE WITH SCOTT ROGOWSKY’ at SubCulture (Feb. 21, 10:15 p.m.). With his dad as his sidekick, this comedian fashioned himself as a modern-day Johnny Carson. But he’s found his greatest success so far as a host on the game-show app HQ Trivia. Rogowsky is back behind his talk-show desk for this live event, with the MSNBC anchor Katy Tur as his featured guest and music from Matisyahu.212-533-5470, subculturenewyork.com

‘SPARKLE HOUR!’ at Joe’s Pub (Feb. 18, 9:30 p.m.). Philip Markle, a.k.a. Sparkle, hosts this variety show featuring his favorite queer and alternative comedians in the city. Markle welcomes comedy from Annie Donley, Larry Owens, Sophie Zucker and Jon Wan; a drag performance from Golden Delicious; and musical entertainment from the Sparkle Band and the Sparkle Dancers. Yes, this will get whimsical.212-539-8500, publictheater.org

‘WILD THINGS’ at Secret Loft (Feb. 19, 8:30 p.m.). Any more write-ups like this, and this Greenwich Village performance space won’t be much of a secret. But you do need a ticket to find out the exact address, and you cannot get tickets at the door. If you plan ahead, though, you’ll be treated to great performances by great comedians, as well as free pizza. Kate Willett, Ismael Loutfi and Ryan Donahue host a lineup that features Hari Kondabolu, Sal Vulcano from “Impractical Jokers,” Emmy Blotnick, Langston Kerman and Dan St. Germain.secretloftnyc.com

KEN JEONG at Florence Gould Hall (Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m.). Dave Itzkoff, culture reporter for The New York Times, moderates a conversation with this riotously funny and talented actor and comedian. Jeong returns to his stand-up roots for his first-ever Netflix comedy special, “Ken Jeong: You Complete Me, Ho,” which comes out on Friday. Filmed at the Ice House Comedy Club in Pasadena, Calif., where Jeong got his start, the special features his reflections on his career switch from doctor to comedy superstar and his wife’s courageous battle with breast cancer.timestalks.com
